Kraftwerk - Computerwelt (as reviewed by John)

computerworld Pictures, Images and Photos

(john wrote this trying to trick people into thinking that I wrote them in the email. I didn't though. I never refer to myself in the third person nor does Johnny. He's just good at trying to write like me. I'm not convinced he actually listened to this album, but he says he did...)

In post world war II germany, no longer able to do spend their creative energies thinking of ways to commit malicious acts of genocide, a bunch of Düsseldorf students got together with their computers and started making fun noises.

This release from 1981 is a great 40 minutes full of all electronic grooves, mostly notable for that song with that riff that Chris Martin ripped off, made into a hit single, stood on bono's shoulders, picked apple from the joshua tree, and ate it.

OVERALL RATING - Full of the rich, synthetic gooey-ness available in every box of Kraft Mac and Cheese.
KEY TRACKS - Nummern, Computerwelt 2, It's More Fun to Compute
