so these four bearded non talented satan worshippers released an EP to make money on tour.
they don't like it too much. why?
because its 5 songs of diddley guitars, "whooaooaaas" and lots of toms. you see, robin penckinghead wrote some songs and said "go!!" and bam, you got a money maker. they later released it everywhere because the fans wanted it. mainly because the fleet foxes sent hidden messages in every copy of their first album to convince people to think their music was listenable.
personally, i think its ok.
its not anywhere as good as the actual LP. its a nice taste, but it just seems kinda there. everything sounds the same (tempo wise and more) and it just tends to totter along. i mean, "english house" is nice. "mykonos" is a little too epic for its own good. "drops in the river" could've been a nice touch on the LP, but its not essential. the first track is meh, and the fifth is just robert peckermold or whatever with a guitar singing in a cave somewhere.
OVERALL RATING - not needed, but if you want to hear some songs that aren't as good as the album, here you go. OR evergreen trees.
